Everyone has a different ability to participate. Nobody's participation is measured against somebody else's. It is measured against what they have the ability and desire to do.
The coffee does not become different because somebody chooses a higher participation level. The opportunity created by that purchase becomes bigger.

Our first fulfillment operation is designed around 22 veterans working approximately 30 hours per week at $30 an hour while having access to the essentials needed to rebuild stability.
Thirty thousand monthly orders can power the first full capacity operation.
At three bags per order, full capacity means approximately 90,000 bags each month and more than one million bags per year.
These are operating targets based on the current UCDA financial model and must be validated through live fulfillment performance.

Our goal is to acquire and completely rehabilitate Bucksteep Manor as a place where veterans can live, work and rebuild. This is not a shelter. It is intended to become infrastructure for dignity, employment and opportunity.
The property needs substantial renovation, including evaluation and likely major work involving septic, water, building systems, life safety and accessibility. Our current planning model uses a base project budget of approximately $6.1 million, subject to engineering, inspections and actual construction bids.

What participation means.
Is this a donation?
No. UCDA is selling coffee. The mission is funded by the business created when coffee drinkers choose to buy from UCDA.
Why does participation start at $17.76 per bag?
$17.76 is the starting participation price. Customers can choose a higher participation level based on their own ability and desire to support the mission.
Why is there a three bag minimum?
The three bag minimum is designed to make shipping economics work. Shipping is included on qualifying three bag orders under the current plan.
Do higher participation levels change the coffee?
No. The coffee is the same. A higher participation level increases the amount of economic support created by that purchase.
